About

From a small town to the big city, and now an international future has been embarked upon.

I grew up in a small town on the west coast of Scotland and thanks to my mother being Swedish I have dual British / Swedish citizenship.

An interest in the outdoors lead me to study Geography at the University of Glasgow, where I specialised in glacial environments and travelled to Iceland and Arctic Norway to research glaciers.

After graduation I decided against an academic career and opted instead for a sales role. I built up my commercial skills and experience over five years working in sales and sales management in the banking and financial services industry in Scotland.

In 2000 I decided to broaden my skills base and moved to London to work as a Strategy Consultant. Two exciting years followed, working on a variety of projects with multinational project teams across Europe and North America. The international experience gained from consulting lead me to want to take a Master degree in business at an overseas business school to gain a formal qualification in the field.

With Scandinavian connections and a desire to find the fresh air and easy access to the outdoors that London lacked, I moved to Bergen in 2002 to join the Master of International Business programme at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (Norges Handelshøyskole - NHH).
